RocketHost performs automated backups to reduce the risk of data loss.
Backups are provided as an additional service and should not be considered the Client’s primary backup solution.
Backup Schedule
Unless otherwise stated:
- Daily automated backups
- Multiple restore points
- Backups stored on separate backup servers
- Backup retention of up to 90 days, depending on the hosting plan
Backup Storage
Backups are stored independently from the production server whenever reasonably possible.
Access to backup storage is restricted to authorized personnel.
Restoration Requests
Clients may request restoration of:
- complete website
- WordPress files
- databases
- individual files where technically possible
Restoration requests are handled during normal business hours.
Recovery Time
Recovery times depend upon:
- backup size
- server load
- nature of the incident
RocketHost does not guarantee specific Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
Disaster Recovery
In the event of:
- hardware failure
- server corruption
- ransomware
- operating system failure
- catastrophic data loss
RocketHost will make commercially reasonable efforts to restore services using the latest available backup.
Client Responsibilities
Clients remain responsible for:
- maintaining independent backups
- verifying website functionality after restoration
- keeping local copies of critical business data
Limitations
RocketHost does not guarantee:
- every backup will complete successfully
- every backup will be recoverable
- zero data loss
- uninterrupted availability
Backups may occasionally fail due to technical reasons beyond our control.
Liability
RocketHost shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages arising from backup failure, incomplete restoration or data loss.
